2020年1月6日下午，剑桥大学博士后梁经纬应付莹教授邀请访问北京理工大学计算机学院进行学术交流，并作题为 “Trajectory of Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers and Adaptive Acceleration”的学术报告，介绍其团队近期在优化算法方面的最新研究进展。

学院部分师生参加了此次报告，并对梁博士的到来表示热烈欢迎。在报告中，梁经纬博士首先简要介绍了优化算法（特别是交替方向乘子法ADMM）的研究背景，然后介绍了惯性加速的ADMM方法及其自适应加速方案，最后介绍了该改进的ADMM算法的相关应用实例和未来发展方向。

梁经纬博士的报告风趣幽默又具体生动，使师生们对改进的ADMM有了直观、深入的认识，对优化领域的最新进展和国际前沿研究动态有了充分了解。

报告人简介：

Jingwei Liang is now a Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship at DAMTP University of Cambridge where he also spent two years as Postdoc Research Associate. He received his PhD in applied mathematics in 2016 from ENSI-CAEN and University of Normandy France. Before that, he received his master degree in applied mathematics in 2013 from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and bachelor degree in Electronic and Information Engineering from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications. His current research interests mainly focus on non-smooth optimization. He has published several top-ranked journals/conferences, which includes ICML, NeurIPS, SIAM Journal on Optimization, Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications and Mathematical Programming.
